			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Took me a few years, but finally made it to Paris. I gotta say, now I know why the French have a reputation for being snooty. Their capital is an amazing city. Great public transportation (and restrooms!) is a perfect cap to a city full of amazing architecture, public spaces, and history. The only knock&#8230; way too much smoking. It killed a bit of the outdoor brasserie mood for me, but otherwise. Bravo or however you say Bravo in French.</p>

<p><strong>Name drop:</strong> I met Michael Moore about 15 years ago when I worked at  <a href="http://www.cmj.com/marathon">CMJ</a> and he was part of a panel on grassroots organizing and student activism. I remember he spent a lot of time after the panel talking to students about causes. He was genuinely interested in what they had to say. You may disagree with him, but he&#8217;s no phony.</p>
